Description

The Blue Tulip is another full scale painting completed from a colored pencil study. This was the first concept and the most geometric in the series of drawings inspired by an old Spring Hill seed catalogue from the 1970's which featured a "blue" tulip. I used to spend hours looking at these catalogues in mid-winter.
